Lavahouse developed the new branding for application to promotional cards and stationery. We then worked closely with the clients and Outsrc to develop a modern, quirky website to appeal to guests old and new. The site is completely content managed, able to process online bookings and features Tiree's fabulous photography. We wish Sam, Tiree and family all the best with their new adventure! |

20th June 2010 Cumbria Tourism reveals annual Culture Guide ![]() The latest Cumbria Tourism Culture Guide, designed by Lavahouse, has just come back from the printers and looks fantastic. The 32 panel design uses folds and perforations to create an highly visual and tactile document that promotes the wonderful creative resources Cumbria has to offer. Several discarded prototypes and many weeks of head-scratching later – the end result is very rewarding indeed! |

6th June 2010 D*LISH Bakery — Devilishly Good Baking
We had a devilishly good time working with John and Dorothy from Fellside Wholefoods on the branding of their new baking company — D*LISH. The name reflects the naughty but nice nature of their dangerously gooey brownies and fiendishly fruity slices. The new identity was applied to packaging, banners, aprons and web in time for their launch at Holker Hall on 4th June. |

16th May 2010 O'Neil Associates Branding
Lavahouse have created a new identity for Kendal chartered architect company O'Neil Associates. We worked closely with principal architect Bob O'Neil to produce a strong, clean logo to be applied to stationary, signage and the companys new website. |

4th March 2010 Poster designs for Lakeland Sandwich Company ![]() We were left feeling rather peckish after working on these poster designs for the Lakeland Sandwich Company! Working with the client we came up with the concept of "Try a tasty slice of Lakeland", where images of the beautiful Cumbrian country side were 'sandwiched' between slices of bread. These eye-catching posters are aimed at student and young professional consumers. |

Lavahouse worked closely with Erica Donninson of the The Posture Clinic, to create a new identity that represents the Alexander Technique. The final logo mark chosen is an elegant, almost organic creation that represents, fluidity, motion and poise — all key features of the technique. |

Creative Director Steve Scott, journeyed to Munich in Germany for the annual ISPO event for the Outdoor Sports Trade...new client meetings, inspirational brand strategies and some excellent design on show proved to be a great inspiration for our head of creative. |

Teko Socks from Boulder, Colorado in partnership with Anatom UK approached Lavahouse to create a stand-out campaign to raise money for earthquake relief in Haiti. Lavahouse are currently working with Teko on their brand narrative, but waivered all design fees for the "Sock Monkee" promotions for this worthy cause. |

20th November 2009 Kendal Mountain Festival 2009 ![]()
Our big event of the year got under way last night. We have been up to our creative glasses in design for both the screen and page, in the form of the Kendal Mountain Festival. The world's biggest gathering of adventurers, experts, filmmakers, enthusiasts, business people and families all congregate to the social and film spectacle event of the year here in Kendal. 10th November 2009 Kendal College New HE&FE 2010 Prospectus Here is the new look prospectus - nicely aligned to our previous design of the FE document yet standing on its own in terms of stature and importance. This is the key reference guide for students, would be students and tutors alike. We turned this document around in two weeks and we're very proud of the design. |

10th November 2009 Spirit of Adventure Book Launch ![]() September saw us create a special landmark in our business history when we finally completed a book design and publishing project for renown adventurer and author Colin Mortlock. The Spirit of Adventure is a must read guide for living a better life and re-connecting with our planet by using the wisdoms of our friend and modern day philosopher. Lavahouse is very proud of the book, the design and all the marketing materials that are enabling Colin to launch this book globally, promote his new publishing company "Outdoor Integrity Publishing' and lay down plans for creating a new Foundation of the same name.

Further to the development of the new identity and range of packaging designs for local producers of delicious food, Country Fare, Lavahouse has completed this tempting brochure outlining their product range. Rich images from photographer Henry Iddon really put the icing on the cake. |

Lavahouse complete their makeover of the Brewery's print material with this brochure for the exciting new autumn/winter programme at the vibrant arts venue. The visual refresh will now move to wayfinding and exterior signage.

17th August 2009 Designer wedding bells
Lavalove to our senior designer Georgie & new husband Matt who got married on Saturday 15th August. They put on a great day (and a very late night) and then promptly escaped the 'great British summer' to their honeymoon in Cuba and Costa Rica! |

TEKO socks are made in Boulder Colorado. We were approached by this environmentally sound company to produce a logo for a new campaign which collects and sends shop samples to porters in Nepal.

The new Kendal College HE prospectus, designed by Lavahouse, was unveilied at a higher education event. The prospectus showcases the fantastic array of courses at the new £12.9m building (designed by architects Taylor Young Ltd.).

28th May 2009 New logo suite for Kendal Judo Club ![]() We are proud of our continued association with the renowned Kendal Judo Club. A comprehensive re-brand has just been completed as part of a strategic campaign to open the Dojo doors as a training venue for international athletes, as well as offering new diverse products to the local community. The club recently received the status of Pre-Olympic training venue for the 2012 London Olympics. With help from Lavahouse, Kendal will aim to attract teams from around the world to train in our beautiful surroundings and great facilities.
