Crosthwaite House Website Launches

Crosthwaite House Website

We're delighted to see the new Crosthwaite House website go live today! The B&B is situated in the heart of the Lyth Valley and has just been beautifully refurbished by new owners Sam and Tiree Dawson.

Lavahouse developed the new branding for application to promotional cards and stationery. We then worked closely with the clients and Outsrc to develop a modern, quirky website to appeal to guests old and new. The site is completely content managed, able to process online bookings and features Tiree's fabulous photography.

We wish Sam, Tiree and family all the best with their new adventure!

Venture Xtreme new website goes live

Venture Xtreme Website

Venture Xtreme is a cultural and lifestyle destination venue that has a unique ability to combine sports participation with spectator attraction. Feeling that their website did not reflect the aspirations of the VX brand, managing director Steve Jones approached Lavahouse and tasked them to come up with a fresh modern feel in a functional and dynamic web design. Our web development partners at Outsrc added their talents to the mix and the site launched yesterday, to much positive response.

Hunter Hall School

Hunter Hall School Website

Our brief was to create a design that looked like no other school site in the region. In-house illustrator Gina, went back to school for this lovely project for Hunter Hall School in Penrith. Her delicate pencil sketches were just what the headmaster Tony Winzor was looking for in this friendly, clean design. Lavahouse worked closely with our friends at Outsrc, the head and governors to produce this highly engaging site, appealing to children, parents and teachers alike.

Here we go again...!

Best in Eden Website

Yes folks, it's that time of year again! The Kendal Mountain Festival is currently attracting outdoor enthusiasts from around the world to the streets of Kendal. It's been a busy couple of weeks for Lavahouse, not least for Creative Director Steve Scott who, as part of his research, travelled as far a field as Canada to experience similar festivals. We've produced the action-packed festival programme, posters, banners, t-shirts, digital slides, lanyards, vehicle graphics...the list goes on! We encourage you to get involved over the weekend with events on at the Brewery Arts Centre and throughout the town.

Cumbria Tourism reveals annual Culture Guide

Best in Eden Website

The latest Cumbria Tourism Culture Guide, designed by Lavahouse, has just come back from the printers and looks fantastic. The 32 panel design uses folds and perforations to create an highly visual and tactile document that promotes the wonderful creative resources Cumbria has to offer. Several discarded prototypes and many weeks of head-scratching later – the end result is very rewarding indeed!

D*LISH Bakery — Devilishly Good Baking

D*Lish Bakery

DLish Bakery

We had a devilishly good time working with John and Dorothy from Fellside Wholefoods on the branding of their new baking company — D*LISH. The name reflects the naughty but nice nature of their dangerously gooey brownies and fiendishly fruity slices. The new identity was applied to packaging, banners, aprons and web in time for their launch at Holker Hall on 4th June.

We were left feeling rather peckish after working on these poster designs for the Lakeland Sandwich Company! Working with the client we came up with the concept of "Try a tasty slice of Lakeland", where images of the beautiful Cumbrian country side were 'sandwiched' between slices of bread. These eye-catching posters are aimed at student and young professional consumers.
